Ghana can win Afcon 2015 - Nana Asare

Gent left-back Nana Akwasi Asare believes Ghana can win next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The 28-year-old who has been capped five times by Ghana since 2007 is well convinced that the Black Stars have the capacity to rule the continent once again after winning the trophy 32 years ago.

“The African Cup? Hopefully my country can win the tournament again. It is a long time ago we won it. In 2008, I was there when Ghana was third at the Africa Cup, but I did not get playing time,” Asare told Voetballnieuws.

“It was a great experience to be part of the national team. I had a fantastic time. It's been two years since I last was selected. I have no problem with that. It's about you as a person who should continue to work hard.”

Asare joined Gent in the summer of 2013 and has played 22 games for them scoring twice.
