Ghana Black Stars trainer Kwasi Appiah has tipped South American giants, Brazil, to emerge winners of the 2018 World Cup, minutes after the final draw for the competition in Russia was held.
The Black Stars coach believes Brazil have prepared adequately for the trophy after their lacklustre performance in the last edition which they hosted.
The Ghana manager who is disappointed his country couldn't qualify for the biggest football tournament is convinced the Brazilians have put in a lot to return to their glory days after their embarrassing sho in 2014.
"For me, I tip Brazil to lift the trophy. If you monitor them closely, they have kept their team together and have been playing a lot of friendly matches," Kwasi Appiah told GHANAsoccernet.com
The Ghana coach explained further that The Green and Yellows started their preparations for the 2018 tournament right after falling heavily to Germany in the semi-final in 2014.
"They have prepared very well for the tournament. They have played a lot of friendly matches which are enough to aid them to correct their errors," he added.
"For me, I tip them to win," he emphasised.
Brazil was humbled by Germany 7-1 in the semi-finals of the 2014 edition, an experience every Brazilian sweats to forget.
Brazil will start their World Cup campaign as favourites in Group E with Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia as their group opponents.
