Very pathetic how the sports minister Nii Lantey is handling out Ghana's world cup qualification preparation.
Ghana had to draw their first match against Uganda in Tamale because of poor preparation and motivation, and l thought from there, the sports minister would mend his ways but he is still adamant.
We don't just qualify to participate in a world cup on a mere radio talking but there are a lot of things that goes into it, and the answer for that is only known by the GfA.
The Ex-sports ministers knew this and they succeeded in getting much acquaintances with the FA.Nii Lantey, must humble himself and join hands with the FA as his predecessors did, else l am not sounding as prophet of doom though,Ghana cant beat Egypt let alone qualify to Russia. The group that Ghana is in,my thorough research and calls have just proven that our budget for preparation is the most least and infinitesimal among them all.Uganda sports ministry have given them $ 800,000 just for Congo match. Also, the Congolese Government have given them $ 750,000 for vice versa..
And then Egypt,Ghana's next opponent is having $1.5 million from their ministry. They are even doing the hosting and looking at the amount they are using for Ghana's preparation, and if you are journalist you should have known by now that our sports minister is not serious.Only $600,000,and he made announcement to the public.
Those above mentioned countries, had all their budget remained secret without any one hearing even cough about it, despite having enough money for preparation.
But when it comes to our dear country Ghana, what do we see,our minister would blow his trumpet for the whole country to know the kind of money he has spent on national team.
Nii Lantey, should bear the responsibility alone if Ghana doesn't qualify. The situation Ghana is in now, is not about the playing body and whether Keving Prince Boateng should be included in the squad or not,the solution for the problem ls at the sports minister's office. The earlier we told him the truth the better because his attitude is killing the morale of our national teams.
The FA needs more than $600,000 if we are to beat Egypt. They have done some before and we should trust them once again else Ghana will come home empty handed from Egypt.
