Ghana is fully ready for Sao Tome and Principe game - Gideon Mensah

Ghana and Zulte Waregem defender Gideon Mensah has revealed Black Stars readiness to face Sao Tome and Principe on Monday in their second Group C game in the on-going 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The four-time African champions began their qualifying campaign on a good note with a 2-0 win over South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium on Thursday evening.

A goal apiece in each half from Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed ensured coach Kwesi Appiah's side pick up all the three points at home.

The team will travel to Sao Tome and Principe to play them on Monday and Mensah, who put up an incredible performance at left-back, says Ghana is ready for the clash.

"We’re fully ready’ for Sao Tome and Principe game and hoping to record our second victory in the qualifiers," he told SportsworlGhana.com in an exclusive interview.

"I am looking forward to starting on Monday and also doing my best and help the team win and nothing else. I know expectations are very high by Ghanaians going into the game but they should expect nothing but some good from myself and the entire team."
