This piece is not based on the qualification and cronies but undeniable fact.

After watching Egypt beat Ghana in the 2nd leg of the World Cup qualifier at the Cairo Air Defense Stadium,l have come to realized that those who wanted to bring technical director to assist Kwesi Appiah at the World Cup are justifiably vindicated.

The FA should access this article really well and ignore those who think Kwesi Appiah is the first Ghanaian to send Black Stars to World Cup syndrome hence he must handle Ghana at the FIFA World Cup.

The World Cup terrain is not about beating Egypt 6-1 at home but where you are going to meet all the world football powerhouses. What makes this upcoming mundial competitively different is the groupings which are going to be on come 6th December, 2013. We are not going to meet the aged and feeble strength of the Egyptians in the group because the teams that were not seeded are equally stronger as those in the seeding pots.

The likes of Chile, Portugal, Ecuador not to forget France are all strong teams Ghana can’t match at the World Cup. Even Japan, Kwesi Appiah’s Black Stars couldn't beat in a recent friendly match played outside Africa.

Almost all Ghanaian sports presenters are boasting that Ghana has the squad to travel beyond the previous two World Cup tournaments, forgetting that apart from Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Dede Ayew who are probably the only known players around the world, the rest are local hype-ups.

Abdul Majeed Waris has been put on transfer at club level, whereas Michael Essien is a bench warmer at Chelsea.

lf the team Kwesi Appiah has earlier on beaten 6-1 can in turn beat us back 2-1 in the space of just one month, with total dominance at our stronghold which is the midfield, it means Egyptian’s technical team led by Bob Bradley had technically improved. Contrary to Kwesi Appiah who has not been able to beat any tough opposition away, since he became Black Stars coach. Zambia beat us in their background and now it’s Egypt who have repeated the dose.

The FA should listen and think ahead. Ghana needs sharp technical brains on the bench because with the so called current squad we have, we cannot think of beating any opponent because if Ghana happens to end up in a group of death containing the likes of Brazil, France and Portugal, with Kwesi Appiah as a coach, hmmmmmmmmm.
