Ghana new boy Samuel Owusu has promised to work hard to earn a place in coach Kwesi Appiah’s the final 23-man-squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The diminutive winger earned his maiden call-up to the national team after an impressive 2018/2019 season with Serbian side Cukaricki.

Owusu was included in the 29-man provisional squad which will commence camping in Abu Dhabi from June 1.

“I believe in myself and I will train very hard to get my play in the final 23,” he told GHANASoccernet.com.

The 23 year old also spoke about what it meant for him to be chosen to represent his country at the continental showpiece.

“It means a lot to me to be named in the squad to represent the country. I was very happy and excited on that faithful day,”
