Ghanaian defender Samuel 'Mensiro' Mensah has agreed to a contract extension with Swedish club Ostersunds FK, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The 28-year-old has signed a three-year deal which will extend his stay at the club until 2020 following his magnificent performance for the side in both the Allsvenskan league and the UEFA Europa league qualifying campaign.
Mensah was reported to be on the move in the ongoing summer transfer window with clubs from the Netherlands and Austria showing keen interest in the versatile defender. However, the new deal appears to have ended all speculations surrounding the former Orebro guardsman this summer.
Since graduating from the renowned Right to Dream Academy in 2008, Mensah has played for four European clubs including clubs from England lower-tier sides.
He has garnered 15 league appearances and scored one goal for the Red and Black lads in the Swedish Allsvenskan league in the ongoing campaign.
