The statement urged the media and the sporting public especially the national Supporters Unions to give the team a befitting welcome that is worthy of champions.

The NSC said that the victory which comes barely a week after the 4-1 demolishing of the Super Eagles of Nigeria by the Black Stars sets Ghana's 50th Independence Anniversary Celebrations on a good note. The team would represent Africa at the World Amputee Football Championships to be held in Turkey in July this year.
