YUGOSLAV coach Milan Zivadinovic, was sacked by the Ghanaian Football Assciation (GFA), is set to coach the Yemeni National team ahead of their debut in the 16th edition of Gulf Cup in Kuwait next December.

Zivadinovic is well versed in the Middle East scene after taking of the Iraqi national side in the last edition of the Asian Cup in Lebanon 2000. He has also coached Saudi club Al-Nasr in the FIFA Club World Championship in Brazil on the same year.

Since then, Zivadinovic has coached Yugoslavian first division side FK Obilic before leaving to the African continent to coach Ghana. The 59-year-old coach was sacked by the GFA last August after having departing without notice.

"I'm really happy that I will coach such enthusiastic side," said Zivadinovic. "Yemeni football has developed very well in the recent year and the proof is that the Yemeni U-17 side qualified to the last World Cup in Finland and to next year's Asian Cup finals in Malaysia.

"I hope that I can help the Yemeni national team with my vast experience," added Zivadinovic.
