Ghana's High Commissioner fetes Hockey Team

The Ghana High Commission in South Africa last night hosted officials of the Ghana Hockey Association and entire team of the national hockey team the Black Sticks at his residence in Pretoria.

The High Commissioner, Kwasi Ahwoi made a presentation of 6, 000 dollars to the team, who are taking part in the Africa Hockey Championship in South Africa.

This yea’s competition will see representatives from the continent being chosen to lead Africa’s campaign at next year’s World championships in Brazil.

Ghana’s men’s team are playing Egypt in the semi -finals while South Africa take on Kenya.
