Ghana Rugby Chief Herbert Mensah
The President of the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU), Mr Herbert Mensah has said his outfit has made so much progress with it youth development programme, aimed at promoting the sport at the grass root.
He told sportscrusader.com in an interview that, Ghana rugby has made much progress especially with the involvement of women in the youth development drive through schools.
Mr. Herbert however called on corporate Ghana to take advantage of the great opportunities in Rugby to enjoy massive brand exposure and to build goodwill for their brands.
“It is not inconceivable that Rugby can fly Ghana’s flag high and proud at international level in World Rugby events, the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics in the foreseeable future.” He said.
The President also hailed companies such as Interplast, the Gino brands and Accra Breweries for their contribution to support the development of Rugby in Ghana.
