Ghana's good bench is the secret - Mensah

Defender Jonathan Mensah has credited Ghanas win over Comoros in the 2018 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday to the rich substitute bench.

Coach Avram Grant was forced into making two substitutions before halftime due to injuries.

Jonathan Mensah was the first to limp off with a suspected hamstring injury and was replaced by Daniel Amartey.

Winger Solomon Asante also came off injured and was replaced by the eventual Man-of-the-Match Jeffrey Schlupp.

And Jonathan Mensah feels the good bench of the Black Stars ensured the sides quality was not diminished in the game against Comoros in Kumasi.

Comoros are a side difficult to play,

I am happy for the Black Stars that we managed to win and one special thing is that we have a rich bench, ensuring that whoever is selected is able to offer quality play.
