Ghana's squad for World Cup qualifier against Sudan

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has named four debutants in his squad for this month's 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi.

England-based midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, Baba Rahman of German Bundesliga club Greuther Furth, Sweden-based David Accam and Hearts of Oak attacker Mahatma Otoo are the players call up to the Black Stars for the first time. AC Milan star midfielder Sulley Muntari returns to the squad after missing the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in January because of injury.

Also returning to the Black Stars are reigning Sweden league best player Abdul Majeed Waris, who recently signed for Russian giants Spartak Moscow and DR Congo-based defender Yaw Frimpong.

Most of the players in the squad were part of the Ghana team that played at the recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament in South Africa.

Goalkeepers: Adam Kwarasey (Stromsgodset, Norway), Fatau Dauda (AshantiGold), Daniel Agyei (Liberty Professionals).

Defenders: Harrison Afful (Esperance, Tunisia), Yaw Frimpong (TP Mazembe, DR Congo), Richard Kissi Boateng (TP Mazembe, DR Congo), Baba Abdul Rahman (Greuther Furth, Germany), John Boye (Rennes, France), Jonathan Mensah (Evian, France), Isaac Vorsah (Red Bull Salzburg, Austria), Awal Mohammed (Maritzburg United, South Africa).

Midfielders: Emmanuel Frimpong (Fulham, England), Rabiu Mohammed (Evian, France), Emmanuel Agyemang Badu (Udinese, Italy), Kwadwo Asamoah (Juventus, Italy), Sulley Muntari (AC Milan, Italy), Christian Atsu (FC Porto, Portugal), Wakaso Mubarak (Espanyol, Spain), Solomon Asante (TP Mazembe, DR Congo), Albert Adomah (Bristol City, England).

Strikers: Asamoah Gyan (Al Ain, UAE), Abdul Majeed Waris (Spartak Moscow, Russia), David Accam (Helsingborg, Sweden ), Mahatma Otoo (Hearts of Oak).
