Ghana have been seeded in the first pot for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations ahead of Wednesday's official group.
The draw for the finals takes place in Equatorial Guinea’s capital Malabo on December 3.
The Black Stars together with hosts, Equatorial Guinea, 2012 champions Zambia and 2013 runners-up Burkina Faso make up the teams in Pot I.
Ghana finished top of their qualifying group.
However, the tournament will be without the defending champions, Nigeria after the failed to qualify. Also there are no debutants amongst the 16 qualified sides.
Pot 2 has Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Mali and Algeria, while South Africa are in Pot 3 alongside Cape Verde, Gabon and DR Congo.
Pot 4 contains Senegal, Guinea, Congo and Cameroon.
Each of the four groups at the 2015 finals will contain one team from each of the four pots, so South Africa could conceivably end up in a ‘group of death’ alongside West African powerhouses Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal.
