Ghana are in talks to play England in another friendly at Wembley next year, match organisers Mel Goldberg Law, have exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com.

According to Mel Goldberg plans are afoot for a mini-tournament involving the Black Stars and the Three Lions next year.

The planned tourney which is scheduled to take place in about a year’s time will have four teams with England scheduled to take on three other African countries.

Mel Goldberg organised the historic friendly between the Ghana and England last year as the match was hugely successful, there is the appetite for re-match.

Ghana has been confirmed as a participant in the proposed four-nation tournney and the match will take place in London, most likely at Wembley.

“We are working on a possible match in London, a sort of African Nations Commonwealth match with four teams,” Mel Goldberg exclusively told GHANsoccernet.com.

“And because I like Ghana, I am choosing Ghana to play and we are getting England to play and maybe two other African nations and that may take place in about a year or so.”

The Black Stars in March clinched a memorable draw against the Three Lions at Wembley.

The hugely successful and well patronized game immediately prompted reports of a possible rematch in Ghana.

This has laid a solid foundation for subsequent engagements of the two teams – a point Goldberg was quick to emphasize.

“It was a most successful match. I would say the best friendly match I’ve ever seen,” he said.

“It was the hottest ticking sell-outs ever, no friendly match has ever sold-out its tickets so quickly, the whole thing was sold-out in three days.

“The English crowd absolutely loved the way the Ghana played and behaved. Over 80,000 people and not one police problem. Infact the Ghanaian women danced with the English police in the streets afterwards,” he added.
