A Chess Board
Ghana has been awarded the rights to host the 2016 ZONE 4.4 individual Chess Championships on the March 28, 2016 to April 06, 2016.In a letter received by the Ghana Chess Authority from the African Chess Confederation and signed by the President of the association on the 27th January 2016.
In an interview with the President of the Ghana Chess Association, Madam Christiana who illuminated her joy over the rights to host a sports event in Ghana and also appealed to the media to further publicity with regards to the upcoming event and the general knowledge on the game of Chess so as to achieve an overall success in the upcoming tournament in March.
She said “game of Chess has come to stay with us and we shall count on corporate to support the upcoming events”.
