The Volleyball Association of Ghana (VAG), is set to host a six-team Africa tournament fixed for August 19-25, at the Accra Sports Stadium and the Lebanon house, Accra.
The competition which forms part of the Association’s preparation towards the All Africa Games (AAG), in Brazzaville, Congo will draw participation from Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Niger in a six-nation Zone III competition.
The VAG will use the six days competition to select players to represent Ghana at the 2015 AAG event scheduled for September 3-19.
Ahead of the tournament, the VAG has organised a two -week intensive level II coaching course for 35 participants across the nation with resource persons from Germany and Austria to update their knowledge for the task ahead.
Ghana, currently the male and female champions will for the first time in five years play an international match at home.
