....tournament to be launched in Accra on Friday
This year's edition of the Wafu Cup (Zone B) tournament will be launched in Accra on Friday, 18th October, 2013 in the Ghanaian capital Accra.
The draw for the eight-team competition will also be held during Friday's event at the Media Conference Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium at 11am.
The eight participating countries will find out their group opponents after Friday's draw.
Hosts Ghana will be joined by title holders Togo for the draw for the one-week tournament.
Other countries who will be participating in the competition are Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger.
Senegal, Sierra Leone and Gabon will take part in the tournament as guests.
The countries will be drawn into two groups with the winners of the group progressing to the final while the second placed team in each group will vie for third position.
The competition starts from 21st November, 2013 and will end on 28th November, 2013.
Wafu Zone B President Kwesi Nyantakyi and General Secretary Aka Malan will launch the event with representatives from various countries in attendance.
The media is invited to cover the event and there will me interview opportunities with various representatives after the draw.
