Dennis Appiah wowed fans of RSC Anderlecht with a fine display against Sportinhg Lokeren
Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah wowed fans of RSC Anderlecht with a fine display against Sportinhg Lokeren in the Belgian Pro league last Sunday.
The performance of the French born Ghanaian defender earned him praises from fans of the club with others calling a contract renewal for the defender.
Appiah created Anderlecht's opener after his cross found Ivan Santini for the first goal in the 16th minute.
"All joking aside on a stick: Gerkens scores on the cross of Milic, Santini scores on the cross of Appiah. The wonders are not the world yet. Who are we now to question Rutten's decisions," a fan by the name Sanders Mae tweeted.
Another fan, Tante Carine also tweeted,"Wet dream anyway. The proper assist of Appiah. Iron scores. Cherry on the cake... Gieterke. I still have to cheer too."
Anderlecht doubled their lead in the second half through forward Pieter Gerkins before Jose Francisco Cevallos pulled one back for Lokeren.
The win sees the Purple and White climb to sixth on the table in a difficult campaign for the club and the Ghanaian defender.
