Ghana to participate in Triathlon Africa Championship

Ghanaian triathletes will participate in the 2016 Sharm El Sheikh ATU Triathlon African Championships and Pan Arab Championships in Egypt from the Sunday, 27th March 2016 to Tuesday, 5th April 2016.

The event is aimed at building up triathletes for the upcoming Olympics and this will see three Ghanaian athletes; Rawoof Zakaria, Mark Ofosu Twum, Bismark Mensah participating in the event for the first time in their careers.

In an interview with sportscrusader.com, Mr Bawah Fuseni who is the General Secretary of Ghana Triathlon Federation said, “this upcoming event is a very important for these triathletes who have shown some real talent in the sport on the local terrain and its time we give them exposure to the international world”.

Mr. Bawah also added that a coach will be part of the team, who will basically go to Egypt for the purpose of seeking knowledge about the game and boost his technicalities with regards to the sport.
