Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will submit a provisional 30-man squad to FIFA early next month from which he will name his final 23-man team for the 2014 World Cup finals.
This means players who will go to the World Cup will know their fate next month while the dreams of others will be crashed when Appiah names his provisional team for the tournament in Brazil in June.
The ex-international will then select 25 players for the pre-World Cup friendly against Holland on 31 May before settling on his cast for the tournament in Brazil.
Two players will be dropped after the exhibition match in Rotterdam to leave him with the final cut of 23 players to make the trip to USA for preparations.
“I will submit a 30-man squad to FIFA early next month,” the mild-mannered Appiah disclosed on Accra-based radio station Happy FM.
“But after the game against Holland we would have settled on the required 23 players that will represent Ghana.”
The Black Stars will be based in Los Angeles where they will play Honduras before heading to Brazil.
Ghana will start their Group G World Cup campaign against the United States of America on 16 before facing Germany and Portugal.
