While the Absa Premiership action is only set to continue this coming weekend due to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, local football fans can still keep an eye on their favourite players as they represent their respective national teams.

Most of the attention will be on Group A where South Africa will entertain arch-rivals Nigeria at the Cape Town Stadium.

Bafana Bafana will be looking for a second straight win after beating Sudan 3-0 on Friday, while the Super Eagles will be eager to bounce back from the 3-2 home loss to Congo.

In Group B, Malawi and Ethiopia will both be looking to collect their first points when they meet at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The Flames will have a number of PSL stars in their team in defender Limbikani Mzava, midfielders Robert Ng’ambi and Robin Ngalande and strikers Atusayo Nyondo and Gabadinho Mhango, while Getaneh Kebede will turn out for Ethiopia.

Burkina Faso will look to maintain their perfect record in Group C when they visit Angola at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

Free State Stars defender Robert Sankara did not feature for the Stallions during their 2-0 win over Lesotho this past weekend and is likely to start on the bench again on Wednesday.

In Group E, Sadat Ouro-Akoriko and Dove Wome will look to help Togo collect their first points when they host Ghana at the Stade de Kegue in Lome.

Ghana also have South African-based players in their squad in Fatau Dauda, Mohammed Awal and Edwin Gyimah.

Also in action in Group E will be Ugandans Denis Onyango and Geoffrey Massa, who will aim to help their side register another positive result against Guinea after holding Ghana to a 1-1 draw over the weekend.

After playing to a disappointing 0-0 draw against Mozambique at home on Saturday, Zambia will look to redeem themselves when they visit Cape Verde.

Kennedy Mweene, Joseph Musonda, Mukuka Mulenga, Christopher Katongo and Collins Mbesuma will look to make a difference for Chipolopolo against a Cape Verde side which beat Niger 3-1 over the weekend.

Niger will now take on Mozambique, who will be counting on South African-based Elias Pelembe Domingues and Helder Pelembe to help them keep all three points at home.

Botswana will aim to bounce back from a disappointing 2-1 loss to Tunisia when they host Senegal at the Botswana National Stadium.

Joel Mogorosi, who found the back of the net against Tunisia, will be joined by goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe and midfielder Mogogi Gabonamong.
