Former Black Stars captain, Abedi Ayew Pele reckons that Ghana is in pole position to make a debut appearance at next years FIFA world cup to be hosted by Germany.

The Black Stars top group two of Africa?s qualifying campaign and are two victories away from picking the group?s sole ticket to represent Africa at the world tournament.

Ghana gave its hopes a world cup berth a massive boost with a two-nil win over South Africa?s Bafana Bafana before a passionate home crowd two weeks ago.

Abedi, one of football?s true greats never to have graced the World cup event says the Black Stars are in the best position now to achieve the Germany 2006 dream.

He told Joy Sports that he has remained optimistic of Ghana?s chances since the world group draws were made.

Ghana?s remaining games in the qualification campaign is against Uganda and Cape Verde.

Udinese of Italy midfielder Sulley Muntari is suspended for the game after picking up his third yellow card of the qualification campaign.

But Dujkovic welcomes back into the squad from suspension left back, Addoquaye Pappoe and the Gyan brothers from injury.
