Ghanaian Walkers For Malaysia

Ghanaian walkers have been invited to take part in the 3rd Malaysia International 24 hour walk, which comes off on the 18th day of September; 2005.

The country is required to send four persons in that regard being two males and females respectively. Five members of the walking team have since been invited to camp at the Visco Walking Academy, Cape Coast. The walkers are Richard Arthur (Takoradi), Atta Bright (Kumasi), and Fred Opoku (Cape Coast).The rest are Jacqueline Aku Bludo (Ghana Police Service), and Godslove Andrews (Accra).The officials are Mohammed Sulemana and Mary De -Lovrdes Brew.

The team will leave the shores of Ghana at the end of July for a training and competition tour in Europe before emplaning to Malaysia in the first week of September for acclimatization before the competition. The walk is being organized by Race walkers Association of Malaysia. Energizer has so far acquired four million cedis worth of training equipment for the team.

Elephant Ointment in like manner has also provided the team with some of its products, whiles American walkers have also provided walking shoes for the walkers.
