Ghanaian-born Inaki Williams named LaLiga Player of the Month for January

Ghanaian-born Athletic Bilbao attacker Inaki Williams has been crowned La Liga Santander Player of the Month for January.

The swift attacker beat the likes of Leo Messi and other giants in the La Liga after an outstanding month, playing an instrumental role for Los Leones, who enjoyed a real upturn in fortunes since the appointment of Gaizka Garitano’s in December.

The speedster enjoyed an amazing run in the month of January, scoring three times in 4 games for Athletic Bilbao and guiding them to 3 wins and a draw.

Williams also bagged a brace against Sevilla in the process.

The Ghanaians born Spaniard will receive his award in front of the San Mames faithful before Sunday night’s meeting with FC Barcelona, a game that kicks off at 20:45 CET.
