Heart of Midlothian has strengthened its midfield with the signing of English-born Ghanaian midfielder Malachi Boateng.
The 22-year-old joins the Jambos from English Premier League side Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year contract.
The defensive midfielder is familiar with Scottish football, having had two successful loan spells in the country. He rose through Crystal Palace's youth ranks and turned professional in 2019.
His standout performances earned him U-18 and U-23 Player of the Year awards, and he was a key player in their Premier League 2 side during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.
In the 2022/23 season, Malachi experienced Scottish football with a loan to Queen’s Park, helping the team finish third in the Championship and earning a spot in the PFA Scotland Championship Team of the Year.
Malachi Boateng continued his impressive form last season with Dundee, making 36 appearances and playing a crucial role in their top-six finish in the SPFL.
