Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo played a pivotal role in Elfsborg's 1-0 win against Molde in the UEFA Europa League final qualification match on Thursday, August 22,202.

Michael Baidoo provided the assist for the game's only goal, which was scored by Ahmed Qasem in the 16th minute.

The match, held at the Aker Stadion, saw Elfsborg secure their first win against Molde, who had previously won both of their head-to-head encounters.

Michael Baidoo started the game and played the full 90 minutes, alongside fellow Ghanaian compatriots Terry Yegbe and Jalal Abdulai.

Despite Molde having more possession and shots throughout the game, Elfsborg managed to hold on to their lead. Qasem's left-footed strike, assisted by Baidoo, proved decisive in securing the victory.

IF Elfsborg will now shift their focus to their upcoming league game against IFK Göteborg on August 25. The team currently sits in 7th place on the Swedish Allsvenskan table with 29 points after 19 games.
