Ghanaian soccer fans optimistic of Black Stars victory over Serbia Sunday

Ghanaian soccer fans have expressed optimism that the Black Stars will win their Serbian counterparts in their opening Group D game in Rustenberg, South Africa, APA learns here Saturday.

Various soccer fans, ranging from adults to teenagers, flocked the various public places discussing the possible outcome of the game scheduled for Sunday.

School children, all wielded miniature Ghanaian flags signifying their unflinching support for the Ghanaian team, which has been strengthened by a blend of youth and experienced players yearning for success.

Some of the fans told APA that looking at the performance of South Africa against Mexico on Friday in their opening match of the tournament ; Ghana could do the same or better if they put up the fighting spirit they exhibited in the Germany 2006 World Cup.

Meanwhile, most Ghanaian soccer pundits have praised South Africa’s Local Organizing Committee for the manner they organized the World Cup.
