Sulley Muntari’s sensational strike made headlines among Ghanaian stars abroad over the weekend as the suspended Black Stars midfielder scored a goal that is wowing many.

Versatile full-back Jeffrey Schlupp scored the opener for Leicester City and completed the entire duration of the game for the Foxes as they drew 2-2 with Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

GERMANY

Augsburg moved tenth despite suffering a 1-0 away loss at Wolfsburg. Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman started and completed the game for Augsburg.

American-born could-be Ghananian Joseph-Claude Gyau sat on the Borussia Dortmund bench when they lost 1-0 against Hamburg SV on Saturday.

Kevin-Prince Boateng warmed the bench for Schalke 04 who slipped to a 2-1 defeat at TSG Hoffenheim.

German-born Karim Bellarabi scored a 90th minute equaliser for Bayer Leverkusen who drew 2-2 with Paderborn on Saturday.

In the Bundesliga II, versatile defender Philemon Ofosu-Aryeh played full throttle for Aalen who beat 1860 München 2-0.

Elsewhere in the Liga 3, Reagy Ofosu played 82 minutes for Chemnitzer FC who beat Preußen Münster 2-0.

Evans Owusu Nyarko played 61 minutes for Borussia Dortmund II in their 2-0 away loss against Unterhaching on Saturday.

Ghanaian-born Canadian international Randy Edwini-Bonsu was not in the Stuttgarter Kickers team when they beat Hansa Rostock 3-0.

In the Regionalliga, Kwame Yeboah sat on the Borussia Mon’gladbach II team when they posted a narrow 1-0 win over Wiedenbrück.

Ghanaian-born German attacker Gerald Asamoah played the last 13 minutes for Schalke II who lost 1-0 against Sportfreunde Lotte.

Ghanaian attacker Frederick Kyereh came off the Elversberg to play the last 26 minutes in their 1-0 defeat at Homburg.

In other games, defender Francis Adomah was booked in the 38th minute and completed the game for Hamburg SV II who beat St Pauli II 2-1. In the St Pauli II was Ghanaian attacker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt.

HOLLAND

Heracles Almelo made mockery of NAC Breda by hammering them 6-1 in the Eredivisie. Winger Edwin Gyasi could not make the Heracles squad for the game but Ghanaian attacker Kingsley Boateng started the game and was replaced in the 46th minute by Dutch-born Ghanaian Jeffrey Sarpong.

Erixon Danso started his debut Eredvisie game for Dordrecht but was replaced in the 46th minute as they lost 4-1 at Cambuur.

Go Ahead Eagles made good of themselves after beating FC Utrecht 3-2 at their own backyard. Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Rodney Antwi was an unused substitute on the Utrecht bench.

FC Twente held AZ Alkmaar to a 2-2 draw. There was neither Shadrach Eghan nor Raymond Gyasi in the Twente and AZ squads respectively for the game.

Attacker Elvis Manu played 77 minutes for Feyenoord to posted a comfortable 4-0 win over FC Groningen. Dutch-born half-Ghanaian defender Johan Kappelhof was sent off in the 56th minute after being booked twice in the game.

Defender Kenny Tete sat on the Ajax Amsterdam bench when they shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw with PEC Zwolle.

In the second-tier league, Ghanaian forward Elton Acolatse hit a double for Jong Ajax who beat Jong FC Twente 5-1. Leeroy Owusu also played the entire match for Jong Ajax. However, midfielder Mustapha Yahaya was unused by Twente.

Defender Marcel Appiah played 69 minutes for NEC Nijmegen who won 2-1 at Almere City.

Belgian-born Ghanaian Marvin Ofori-Appiah was on the MVV bench for the game.

In the third-tier league, Sir Ralph Owusu and Kenneth Misa Danso both started and finished the game for Ajax Amateurs who drew 0-0 with Capelle. ITALY Suspended Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari scored a cracking volley for AC Milan in their 2-0 win over Chievo Verona on Saturday. Muntari was replaced in the 89th minute by Ghana’s Michael Essien. Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie also played 82 minutes for Chievo in the game.

Robin Quaison was unused by Palermo who suffered a heavy 3-0 loss at Empoli.

Godfred Donsah watched from the Cagliari bench as they suffered a 1-0 loss at his former club Hellas Verona on Saturday afternoon in the Serie A.

Raman Chibsah warmed the bench for Sassuolo who lost 3-2 against Lazio on Sunday.

Midfielder Afriyie Acquah missed Parma’s 2-1 home reverse against Genoa with suspension.

Inter Milan loanee Alfred Duncan continued his bench warming exercise at Sampdoria as he sat on the bench in their 1-0 home win over Atalanta. Striker Boakye-Yiadom could not score for Atalanta though he lasted until the 75th minute.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played the entire 90 minutes for Udinese who dropped to fourth after drawing 1-1 with Cesena.

Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah was in full time action for Juventus who resisted a strong AS Roma performance to win 3-2 in the Serie A on Sunday night.

In the Serie B, midfielder Amidu Salifu scored the equalising goal for Modena who drew 1-1 with Bari on Saturday. Ghanaian attacker Maxwell Acosty failed to make the Modena squad for the game.

Genoa loanee Moro Al-Hassan watched from the Vicenza bench as they drew 0-0 with Bologna.

In the third-tier league, Renate shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Lumezzane. Ghanaian attacker Caleb Ekuban played 89 minutes for Lumezzane.

Pro Partia also drew 2-2 with Mantova. Kumasi-born Ghanaian attacker Ahmed Said Ahmed played the entire minutes of the game for Mantova.

Emmanuel Gyasi sat on the Pisa bench when they drew 1-1 with Pontedera on Sunday night. SPAIN

Almeria and Elche FC split points after drawing 2-2. Ghanaian youth midfielder Thomas Teye Partey was unused by Almeria.

Paul Quaye failed to make the Malaga first team squad when they won 2-1 against Granada FC.

Fatau Mohammed did not get to play for Rayo Vallecano who lost 2-0 against Barcelona.

Derek Boateng watched Eibar’s 3-3 draw with Levante from the bench.

In the Segunda Division, Razak Brimah was in post for Mirandes who beat Numencia 2-0 on Sunday night.

In the Segunda B, both Richard Boateng and Clifford Aboagye played Granada II who lost 3-1 at Real Jaé.

Michael Anaba was impressive for Elche II who beat Lleida Esportiu 2-0.

Benjamin Akoto Asamoah played the entire 90 minutes of the game for Atletico Madrid II who lost 1-0 against Sestao River on Sunday evening.

FRANCE

Defender Jonathan Mensah was in commanding form for Evian TG who recorded another impressive win after beating Metz 3-0. There was no Kwame Nsor in the Metz team for the game.

Jordan Ayew set up both goals for Lorient who returned from their trip to Bastia with a 2-0 win.

Olympique Marseille stretched their winning run beyond five games after beating Caen 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Ghana’s Andre Ayew played the entire game for Marseille as well as Dennis Appiah did for Caen.

In the Ligue de National, former Ghana U17 captain Charles Boateng was in full time action for Avranches who held CA Bastia to a 1-1 draw.

Ghanaian midfielder Ben Amofa was not in the Strasbourg team that lost 1-0 against Le Poiré-sur-Vie. TURKEY

Black Stars defender Jerry Akaminko is still out of action as he watched Eski?ehirspor’s 2-1 home loss against Rizespor from the bench.

There was also full time action for defender John Boye whose Kayseri Erciyesspor lost 2-1 at home to Galatasaray on Sunday night.

Karabükspor made good of themselves after beating Trabzonspor 3-0. Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris was in poor form in attack for Trabzonspor and was replaced in the 58th minute.

In the Lig 1, Yussif Chibsah was not in the Alanyaspor team that drew 1-1 at Altinordu.

Former Hearts of Oak youngster Torric Jebrin played the entire second-half for Bucaspor who beat Boluspor 3-2.

PORTUGAL Youngster Osei Barnes came off the bench to play the last 31 minutes for Paços de Ferreira who beat Maritimo 3-2.

Nacional split points with Rio Ave after a 0-0 draw. Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso played full time for Ave. Emmanuel Boateng could not make the Rio squad for the game as well as Ernest Ohemeng.

Bernard Mensah was in full time action for Vitória Guimarães who beat Boavista 3-0. Quincy Owusu-Abeyie was not in the Boavista team for the game.

Richard Ofori was not in the Academica team when they drew 0-0 with Moreirense.

SCOTLAND

Wakaso Mubarak played 61 minutes for Celtic who lost 1-0 against leaders Hamilton Academical.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Prince Buaben scored the second goal for Hearts of Midlothian who beat Queen of the South 3-0.

BELGIUM

Gent drew 0-0 with ten-man Westerlo. Both Nana Akwasi Asare and Mitch Apau played full time for Gent and Westerlo respectively.

French-born Ghanaian defender Jerry Vandam watched KV Mechelen’s 1-1 draw with Mouscron-Péruwelz from the bench.

David Addy missed Waasland-Beveren’s 1-0 win over Cercle Brugge through suspension.

Frank Acheampong played the last 23 minutes for Anderlecht in their 0-0 draw with Genk. Ghana international midfielder Bennard Kumordzi missed the game with injury.

Lokeren beat KV Oostende 3-1. Belgian-born Denis Odoi played full time for Lokeren but youngster Eugene Ansah was not in the Lokeren squad for the game.

In the Second Division, FC Antwerp drew 1-1 with White Star. Ghanaian forward William Owusu Acheampong played full time for Antwerp.

Prince Asubonteng played 72 minutes for Dessel Sport in their 2-1 home loss against Patro Eisden. Stephen Asamoah played 74 minutes for AS Eupen who beat Sint-Truiden 3-0.

DENMARK

Center-back Francis Dickoh was unused as he sat on the FC Midtjylland bench in their 5-1 win over Hobro.

German-born Ghanaian defender Lenny Sowah could not make the Vestsjælland squad when they drew 1-1 with SønderjyskE.

Kamal Issah was on the Nordsjælland bench when they drew 0-0 with Randers FC.

Daniel Amartey and Danny Amankwaa were both in full time action for FC København who beat Esbjerg 2-1.

SWITZERLAND

Neither Ishmael Yartey nor Ebenezer Assifuah was in the FC Sion that ended their winless run after beating Luzern 3-1 on Sunday.

Samuel Afum played 69 minutes for BSC Young Boys who lost 3-2 at Aarau.

SWEDEN

Malmo FF retained their Swedish League title after beating AIK Solna 3-2 on Sunday. Ghanaian midfielder Enock Adu Kofi played the entire match for Malmo. Ebenezer Ofori was axed from the AIK squad for the game but Ibrahim Moro started the game while Kwame Karikari came off the bench to play for AIK.

BK Hacken’s quest to secure an Europa League ticket suffered a jolt as Falkenberg beat them 2-1 on Sunday. Ghanaian attacker Nasiru Mohammed came off the bench to play the entire second-half for Hacken but Richard Donkor and Augustine Okrah could not make the Hacken squad for the game. Godsway Donyoh sat on the Falkenberg bench.

Åtvidaberg applied the brakes on Halmstad BK after beating them 3-1. Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Abubakari was booked in the 93rd minute and played the entire game for Åtvidaberg. In the Halmstad team was Joseph Baffo and King Osei-Gyan.

Kwame Bonsu came off the bench to play the 23 minutes for Mjällby who lost 1-0 to Brommapojkarna.

David Accam failed to find the net for Helsingborg IF who won 4-1 against Kalmar. Compatriot Ema Boateng was unused by Helsingborg in the game.

NORWAY

Stromsgodset managed a 0-0 draw at Sarpsborg 08. Ghanaian trio of Adam Kwarasey, Mohammed Abu and Nana Boateng all started the game for Stromsgodset but Divine Naah failed to make the squad for the game.

Former Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo was in 80 minutes of action for Sogndal IF who lost 2-1 at Vålerenga.

Ernest Asante played full time and helped IK Start to beat FK Brann 2-1.

UAE

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan was not in the Al Ain team that lost 3-2 at Al Jazira on Sunday.

USA

Samuel Inkoom was a bench warmer for DC United who drew 0-0 with Sporting Kansas City.

Ghanaian-Canadian Kofi Opare was also on the United bench.

Lloyd Sam was impressive for New York Red Bulls who won 1-0 against Houston Dynamo thanks to a strike from Thierry Henry.

Gershon Koffie could not make the Whitecaps squad for their 2-0 win over FC Dallas.

Dominic Oduro was in full time action for FC Toronto but he could not help them avoid a 3-0 defeat at the hands of LA Galaxy.

KAZAKHSTAN

Former Ghana U20 striker Patrick Twumasi netted a treble for Astana who beat Askboe 6-1.

LEBANON

Ghanaian winger Michael Helegbe scored a double brace for SC Tripoli who beat Al-Nabi Shayth 5-2.

DR CONGO

Ghana midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei scored twice as Solomon Asante and Richard Kissi Boateng providing assists to hand TP Mazembe a massive 7-0 win over AS Bantous in their opening league match on Sunday. Gladson Awako and Yaw Frimpong also played in the game.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Francis Narh scored a wonderful volley for Banik Ostrava who beat Slovácko 2-1 on Sunday. Ghanaian midfielder Derrick Mensah also played the game for Ostrava.

Kevin Luckassen played the last ten minutes for Slovan Liberec who lost 1-0 at Sparta Praha.
