Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan is fed up with all the brouhaha following the death of iconic musician Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, popularly known as Ebony.
The 20-year-old dancehall artiste tragically lost her life along with two others in a gory accident last week on her way to Kumasi.
The Kayserispor striker in a rant on his Instagram page questioned the logic of Ghanaians who he says all of a sudden have totally fallen in love with Ebony now that she is dead but lambasted and criticized her when she was alive.
He charged Ghanaians to stop the hypocrisy and celebrate their heroes while alive.
“Although we are not in Ghana, we are Ghanaians and sometimes we hear what is going on. Now the person is gone. Go and talk about her state of dressing.
“Now that the person is gone they are playing her song everywhere.
“Are we trying to say we celebrate the dead more than the living?
“We have to change. We have to change our mentality. We were all born in Africa. We all know the African culture but things are getting worse.
“We don’t know people and we just judge them. I don’t know what people see. Sometimes they see the person and they just judge them.”
