Del Piero's goal in the 86th minute sealed the victory for the Turin giants who had appeared to have lost some vital points when Stephen Appiah equalized late for Brescia in the 83rd minute. Del Piero proved his worth yet again however, and fired home a superb volley four minutes from time to clinch victory for Marcello Lippi's side
