Ghanaians love football and it's showing on search trends...

Hundreds of thousands of Ghanaians are following the ongoing UEFA Champions League on the internet with keen interest more than any other league including the national league.

Google Ghana office disclosed to Goal.com that during the month of September the terms ‘UEFA Champions League’ and ‘English Premier League’ topped the search trends in the west African nation.


“It’s great to see how quickly the internet is becoming part of our culture,” Estelle Akofio-Sowah of Google Ghana said.

She said it shows how thousands of Ghanaians log on to follow their favourite teams.
