Ghanaian defender Gideon Baah has targeted playing in the lucrative Uefa Champions League competition next season.
The 23-year-old has won the Finnish League title with HJK Helsinki as well as the Finnish Cup and he will play in the Uefa Champions League’s preliminary rounds next season with the club.
“It will be a dream come true to be playing in the UEFA Champions League group stage for me and for my career,” he told Accra-based Starr FM.
Baah has already played in the competition but wants to play in the group stages of the competition.
We were kicked out this year by Apoel that why we made it to the Europa League and we have learnt a great deal from the champions league and trying to get into the group stage proper next year but i mean it’s a big thing for every player to play in the champions league and am looking forward to that Baah concluded.”
Baah and compatriot Anthony Annan are all in action for HJK as they play in the Uefa Europa League.
