Gideon Mensah helped Red Bull Salzburg to beat Benfica 2-1 on Monday to win the 2017 UEFA Youth League.
The left-back lasted the entire duration of the match as the Austrian side rallied to upset the Portuguese side.
Mensah joined Red Bull Salzburg last year from Ghana Premier League side WAFA SC.
He also plays for the club's second side FC Liefering in the Austrian second-tier.
Benfica took the lead in the 26th minute through José Gomes who found space in the penalty area to head João Filipe's free-kick into the bottom right-hand corner.
But Red Bull came back strongly in the second half and it was substitute Daka Patson who sparked the comeback.
The man who equalised against Barcelona on Friday rose highest in the box to head in Hannes Wolf's left-wing corner on 72 minutes.
Four minutes later, Alexander Schmidt received possession midway inside the Benfica half and spreaded play wide to Hannes Wolf.
The substitute carries on his run and is in the right place to meet the cut-back, sweeping it under Fábio Duarte.
