Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Gilbert Fiamenyo has hit back at the club fans, describing as 'fools' for alleging that he leaked a secret tape of the club fans mocking the clubs position of the First Capital Bank League log.

“Some fans of Hearts of Oak are fools, they don't reason at all. They are accusing me of almost everything that goes wrong at the club," he said.

"They have forgotten so soon that I was one of the best players in the first round of the season, and all of the sudden, I am the reason for the club's woes.

"Some of the supporters don't know anything about football; they sit in their villages and call into radio stations to lambast me, some take to Facebook and write anything on their walls without any grounds,” he fumed.

A secret tape of some members of the club playing body mocking the clubs poor performance and position on the league table was leaked earlier this week, and the club moved swiftly to suspend Issah Mumuni 'indefinitely' while still investigating others.

Gilbert Fiamenyo, considered a close ally to majority shareholder of the club, Togbe Afede XIV, is suspected to be the player who leaked the tape to the management of the club by fans.

And he has hit back at the fans, questioning their contribution to the success of the club and labeling them as “fools”.

"Why should someone accuse me of leaking that tape to the management, because I wasn’t there during the conversation? How much do such fans who always insult players contribute to the club,” he quizzed.

"Some of the supporters don’t reason and are stupid, so they end up insulting the playing body anyhow and that is why they have tagged me as a lazy player," he noted.
