Globacom Limited will today in Accra sign a contract with the Ghana National Supporters Union.

The ceremony, which has generated huge interest in Ghanaian football circles, will hold at the Alisa Hotels in North Ridge.

Ghanaian government officials, members of the board of the Ghana Football Association, Ghana National Olympic Committee members, former international football stars and fans are expected to grace the occasion.

Globacom officials are already in Accra for the event, described by the GHANSU President, Abraham Boakye, as the beginning of good things for the Black Stars. The Globacom team is led by the Head of New Markets, Mr. Yinka Olafimihan, while the Head of Public Relations and Outdoor Advertising, Mr. Bode Opeseitan, and the Sponsorship Manager, Harry Iwuala, are also in the team.

The President General of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, is also leading a delegation of members of the club to the occasion. Boakye said his members would use the occasion to launch the GHANSU 2008 Nations Cup special song composed to motivate players of the Black Stars to victory. ?We are planning big for the ceremony; new songs we never sang before will be revealed to the public and it will mark the beginning of our mobilization of Ghana people for the Nations Cup we are hosting,? Boakye said. Globacom is a partner of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.
