Management and staff of Global Access, a privately owned savings and loans company in Accra have commended the efforts of Ghana's Beach Soccer National Team, the Black Sharks as well as the GBSA for their remarkable exploits in Africa over the past year.
The Black Sharks capped off a memorable debut at the CAF Beach Soccer Nations Cup in April picking up the goal king award.
This feat together with a 5-3 victory over former African champions Senegal has catapulted Ghana to 19th position in the May edition of the FIFA world rankings.
Global Access owned by the entrepreneur, philanthropist and economist Dr Kofi Amoah were one of the companies who supported the Sharks during their preparations to Seychelles for the AFCON tourney.
The GBSA received an amount of GHS 2,500 which the association used to cover some of the local camping costs.
Meanwhile, tidal waves that hit the beach soccer arena following torrential rain and flooding has exacerbated the situation of the association. However, protocol officer Kusi Awere Gyamfi has confirmed that a number of appeals have gone out to corporate Ghana to assist in rehabilitating the venue.
