Global Media Alliance Wins Highly Competitive “Row Your Boat Challenge” During Citi Business Olympics

Accra, 4th October, 2011: Global Media Alliance (GMA) beat competing teams to sweep the “Row your boat challenge’ during Citi Fm’s Business Olympics held at Bojo Beach on Saturday, October 1, 2011. GMA outshined other companies in one of the most competitive and coveted categories in the games .

Over 20 corporate institutions participated and competed in a variety of competitive games such as soccer, track and field activities, tug of war etc. in hopes to win trophies for the various categories and the ultimate trophy. The row your boat challenge was played in two series with 6 competitive corporate bodies, which drew out the biggest crowd with chants, roars, and cheers. The first leg consisted of three companies with a four team crew plus one professional canoe attendant.

Driven by a win-at- all cost attitude, and fueled by passion, team spiritedness and great camaraderie, Global Media Alliance Group came out on tops, as competitors proved to be no match. “This is the best time I have had in a longtime. It’s good to see people from different corporate bodies come together and compete, enjoy some physical activities, and be rewarded for it.
