Soon after signing to seal his move at the club’s secretariat on Thursday, Dreams FC’s latest addition Isaac Amoako had his First Words with Dreams Media in a revealing chat on Friday. Enjoy the conversation below;

Dreams Media: Welcome Isaac Amoako

Isaac Amoako: It is God we give thanks to because this is what our work entails and you need to move from one step to another, so I will say joining Dreams FC is a very great privilege and I feel honored to be part of this great family. I’m excited.

Dreams Media: What has been your first impression about the club?

Isaac Amoako: Coming here and me being in the GPL for some time, I will like to say Dreams is a professional club and everything about the club is absolutely professional, especially the way the management staff work in the secretariat and also the way and manner in which work is being done here makes me feel very happy and I think have joined a great family and a home as well. I’m very happy and I hope things will work out for good.

Dreams Media: Who is Isaac Amoako and what makes up our personality? Isaac Amoako: I am a goalkeeper who started my football career in Brong Ahafo. I come from Nkoransa where I started my education and continued my schooling in Sunyani after which I join Ashanti gold academy in the year 98/99 and moving to MBC academy where I came to play some in Accra as well. I then went back to BA united for a season and there after I joined Ashanti gold and from there I join Asante Kotoko which I played for long, before now joining Dreams FC. Been a long road but I’m not done yet.

Dreams Media: What makes you special and what qualities do you bring to the team?

Isaac Amoako: I will say I have gained a lot of experience from the work I’m doing and joining Dreams FC which I know is a young club but has many good objectives ahead, I will say with my experience gathered in my work am here to help the club achieve their objectives and also stay in the league. I am saying this because I know there are more good players in the team and pledge to add my experience for the club to move forward.

Dreams Media: Are you scared of competing for a starting role?

Isaac Amoako: Talking about me being scared of competition in the team is something that you must take out because this is what have been doing since my childhood. Competition is no threat at all. I came to meet others here but I am going to give them the normal respect as team mates, because we are all working to achieve the same objective by moving Dreams forward. Even though there is going be a competition, I believe it’s going to be a healthy one.

Talking of Philemon McCarthy, I know he has a lot of experience because I have worked with him before. But I believe they ( existing players) will also welcome me as one of their brother and we are going to work together and it’s not going to be any competition that will bring any bad problem because any club I join I try bring that kind of unity among we the playing body to be able to achieve one goal, because at the end of the day it’s going to be the image of Dreams we taking high not our individual differences.

Dreams Media: Any word for the fans of the club who are eager to see you join the club?

Isaac Amoako: I will like to tell them to support me with the same good support they always support the players with so that I (Isaac Amoako) will also be successful in the club because my main aim is to contribute to the success of the club. So for the teeming fans of Dreams FC I pray that they support team in any way they for the club to go high.

Dreams Media: How would you describe your move from Kotoko to Dreams?

Isaac Amoako: I know in life you must be ready for any challenge as I said earlier, I have played for BA united, Ashgold and Kotoko SC, so I have seen all the difference and I have no problem playing for Kotoko and coming to play for Dreams FC. This is because I know I served Kotoko and its time for me to serve Dreams FC as well, so it’s my wish that it goes well here without problems.

Dreams Media: Any hopes on national team appearances?

Isaac Amoako: I wish to be one the best players in the club and hope my performance here will catch the eye of technical handlers of our senior national team and if opportunity is given I will be very glad to serve my country Ghana.
