What a way to begin his stint at Dreams FC, goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy scored in their 2-0 win over New Edubiase at the Theater of Dreams in a Ghana Premier League encounter.
McCarthy, who joined Dreams in the second half of the season, gave them the lead in the 55th minute when he kicked a long ball into the net of New Edubiase.
This was after he had denied the relegation side the opener.
What this means is McCarthy becomes the first goalkeeper to score in this season’s Ghana Premier League.
Veteran Eric Gawu added the second to seal the win for the new boys.
