Fatau Dauda believes he would be playing for a top notch European club like Chelsea if he was an outfield player.

Fatau Dauda broke into the Black Stars team during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa which influenced Orlando Pirates to seal a deal with him and also played a commanding role in 2014 FIFA World Cup staged in Brazil.

He believes that that feat he chalked in the World Cup would have landed him a bumper European contract if he was an outfield player.

“People should analyze goalkeepers very well. How many times do you see goalkeepers being changed in a game? After the World Cup how many goalkeepers were signed? Fatau Dauda quizzed during an interview with Hot FM.

“Even outfield players who didn’t kick a ball in the competition managed to secure good deals, after the tournament.

“I would have been a Chelsea player if I was an outfield player.” Dauda returned to the Ghana Premier and helped his former club Ashgold to win their first domestic league in 19 years in the 2014-15 league season.
