The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has said “God will punish” people, who he believes, are bent on ousting him from his position as the FA boss through foul means.

According to the lawyer turned football administrator, there are "meetings held in obscure places at night" in some areas in Accra all targeted at ousting him.

“People are on a smear campaign to oust me from office. When they meet me, they smile with me but behind me, they are my enemies and they hate me; I know,” the FA boss who is billed to appear before the Commission investigating Ghana’s poor showing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup said on Okay FM on Tuesday.

He challenged people interested in becoming president of the football Association to prove their competence and convince people to vote for them in the upcoming elections of the association instead of badmouthing him.

Nyantakyi noted that he has delivered on his mandate as head of the Association and will be confident in contesting the seat again.
