Ex Bologna coach Delio Rossi
Delio Rossi, the coach who signed Ghana midfielder Godfred Donsah to Bologna has been relieved of his duties.
Rossi was instrumental in snatching the promising talent from Cagliari in the summer after he was linked with stellar clubs including Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.
Last night’s 1-0 home defeat to Inter Milan might have nailed his coffin with the Rossoblu taking just six points from their opening 10 games.
“Bologna FC announces that first-team Coach Delio Rossi has been relieved of his duties,” a statement on Bologna’s official website announced.
“He goes with heartfelt thanks for his professionalism and competence. The club wishes him and his staff the best of luck in their professional careers.”
Rossi becomes the second coach to be fired in the Serie A this season after Carpi’s Fabrizio Castori was sacked last month.
