Gold Stars hold Kintampo Stars

Cape Coast Dec. 15, GNA- A goal scored by midfielder Kofi Asare, in the 90th minute enabled Bibiani Gold Stars to hold Kintampo Stars to a 2-2 draw in their middle league match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Sunday.

Kintampo Stars scored the opener through centre half, Abubakar Ibrahim, in the 29th minute after missing several chances. Undaunted by their opponents' lead, Gold Stars threw everything into the game and deservedly got the equaliser through a spot kick taken by Sulley Ibrahim in the 39th minute.

Kintampo Stars on resumption increased the tally to two through a freekick expertly taken by Ibrahim in the 75th minute. Gold Stars from then on took absolute command of the game and dictated the pace but waited until the 90th minute when Asare came to their rescue by levelling up the scores to 2-2.
