Golden Arms departs Ghana for Africa championship

The National Armwrestling Team the "Golden Arms" on Thursday, left Accra for Mali for the 10th Africa Armwrestling Championships in Bamako, Mali.

The contingent of 16 athletes and officials includes, three females, nine male athletes and four officials.

The competition starts from Friday, July 12 and team Ghana is expected back home on Monday, July 15.

The Golden Arms have targeted 20 medals for the championship.

The Ghana Armwrestling Federation (GAF) expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Youth & Sports, K-Balm Ointment, Club Consult Africa, Asky Airlines, Ghana Revenue Authority, Opportunity International Savings and Loans and the many others who have supported them.
