Obuasi(ASH): Obuasi Goldfields beat King Faisal 1-0 in their match played at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium. The match, which at certain stages degenerated into rough play, produced three red cards. The culprits were Owusu Asare and Adam Diogo both of King Faisal and Agyeman Duah of Goldfields. Goldfields shot into the lead in the sixth minute when Chronicle Kwame's free kick was connected home by Issa Abdul Raman. Six minutes later, Owusu Asare of Faisal was shown the yellow card for dangerous play. Haruna Gariba of Goldfields nearly took his turn in the 26th minute, but with only Goalkeeper Opoku Ware to beat, he shot wide from close range. Just before the break, Agyemang Duah of Goldfields was shown the red card for a second bookable offence. Barely a minute in the second half Asare was also shown the red card for a second bookable offence. King Faisal pressed hard for the equaliser but squandered all the chances they created. In the 76th minute Diogo was sent off for intentionally hitting captain Yaw Owusu of Goldfields in the tummy. MORE
