Golf-President's Putter Golf on Jan. 27

Honourable Felix Owusu-Adjapong, MP For Akim Swedru and Minister for Communications-designate is among an array of golfers who will be vying for the Achimota Golf Club's President Putter competition on Saturday, January 27.

Nana Atta Nyamekye, Captain of the Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-hole stableford competition opened to amateur and professional golfers from Achimota, Tema and Celebrity Golf Clubs, is being sponsored by Mr Ishmael Yamson, President of the Achimota Golf Club.

He said the competition, which is expected to attract over 150 golfers and was originally scheduled for January 13 was postponed to January 27 to enable participants prepare adequately.

Meanwhile the Achimota Golf Club Lady Captain's Prize will be competed for on Thursday, January 25.

The event opened to lady golfers from Achimota, Tema and Celebrity Clubs will be sponsored by Mrs Selina Agyemang, the Lady Captain.

Mona Captan, 1999 Lady golfer of the year, has made her intention known to wrestle the title for the first time.
