Tema, Nov. 30, GNA-All is set for the November Medal championship of Celebrity Golf Club scheduled for Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, December 1. More than 100 golfers would be taking part in the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford championship being sponsored by the Celebrity Golf Club. Competition Secretary Akwasi Opoku told GNA Sports in Accra that the event which starts at 0600 hours would be keenly contested by golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim. He said management had lined up a series of events to put the golfers in shape for major competitions next year. Monthly medals are played to enable golfers to sharpen up their strokes for major competitions. The next major competition is the Tafo Open scheduled for Tafo from December 7 to 8.
