The flagbearer of the CPP, Ivor Greenstreet and a member of the Ghana Shooting team is disappointed in government’s low investment into the development of sports.
According to the shooter, apart from Tamale, Accra, Cape Coast, Sekondi and Kumasi, which have national stadia, the five other regional capitals and districts do not have well-equipped sports facilities to hone the talent of budding sportsmen.
Greenstreet is confident government can do better in the area of sports development.
“I am a big believer in human development through recreation, whereby you make available the facilities not just soccer but all disciplines.
"The investment is that huge, and we are not happy because investing in shooting is not that huge compared to soccer”, he told Starr Sports.
The Ghana Shooting team, ‘Black Snipers,’ made a memorable debut appearance at the 12th Africa Shooting Championship held in Cairo last year.
