Ghana striker Richmond Boakye has terminated his season-long loan deal with Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
According to GHANASoccernet.com sources, the 22-year-old fell out with head coach Darije Kalezic who refused to select him for matches.
The Ghana international reached a mutual agreement to part ways with the club on New Year’s Eve.
"I had a fractious relationship with the coach and there was no way I had a future under him (Darije Kalezic). I need to get my career back on track," Boakye told GHANASoccernet.com.
"I wish to thank the club and the fans for their support because it was joyful to wear the yellow jersey."
Boakye joined loan from Italian Serie A side Atalanta and managed nine appearances in the Eredivisie.
He will return to his parent club in Italy before a decision is taken on his future.
